ANU JUNNONEN & TUUR FLORIZOONE
White Paper Album Release
Vihma is an original song of Värttinä, the world famous Finnish folk music band. It is one of the two covers on the debut album White Paper by Anu Junnonen and Tuur Florizoone. This songs has been travelling with us for many years and when performed live it takes on different forms. We’re happy to have finally recorded our own version of this amazing song of Värttinä.
Vihma literally means ‘sleet’ that translates to wet snow. Imagine yourself walking through a wintry Nordic landscape, trying to reach home where a warm fireplace awaits. But the snow sticks to your feet, the wind is blowing harder, the temperature is dropping … Will you make it home? Have a good trip.
‘Vihma’ was originally written by Kari & Sirpa Reiman ‘The full album is released on ‘Aventura Musica’.

‘Earth People’ is the opening song of the debut Album ‘White Paper’ by Anu Junnonen (Finland) & Tuur Florizoone (Belgium) and is launched as the first single of the Duo.
Laura Matikainen made the animation movie.
The music was recorded in the south of France, in a villa overlooking the hills of the Var and the surrounding bushes, with the swimming pool to the right. Everything a regular music studio lacks…
We played on a Blütner grand piano with a plasticine strip on the middle register, which allowed us to get three different sounds from the piano: High and low open strings/muted mid register. The Cello arrangement, played by the wonderful Jörg Brinkmann was recorded in Brussels.
“Earth People” is written by Anu Junnonen (lyrics) and Tuur Florizoone (music). It is released on Tuur music label ‘Aventura Musica’.
