Vanhaverbeke<\/strong> m&#8217;a toujours touch\u00e9e en tant qu&#8217;artiste et en tant que personne. La rencontrer et admirer son travail est comme un simple pas vers la libert\u00e9, vers le pays des r\u00eaves, si proche et si vite oubli\u00e9. Elle vit et travaille \u00e0 Anvers, en Belgique.<br \/>\nEn 2003, elle a obtenu un Master en Sculpture \u00e0 l&#8217;Acad\u00e9mie Royale des Beaux-Arts d&#8217;Anvers (KASKA) et a fait en 2003-2004 un Post Graduate, Autonomous Visual Arts, \u00e0 l&#8217;Acad\u00e9mie Post Sint Joost \u00e0 Breda (Pays-Bas).<br \/>\nBien que la pratique d&#8217;Annelies Vanhaverbeke soit multidisciplinaire, et se situe \u00e0 mi-chemin entre la peinture, la sculpture, le dessin et la r\u00e9alisation de collages et d&#8217;assemblages, ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, ce sont surtout les peintures qui parlent. Sans formation en peinture, elle les pose sur la toile de mani\u00e8re tr\u00e8s libre. Elle laisse tomber la perspective. Elle peint avec des pinceaux et des outils tels que des lattes, m\u00e9lange la peinture sur la toile, repeint et travaille en collage &#8211; et avec de fortes r\u00e9f\u00e9rences \u00e0 la sculpture &#8211; dans un style tr\u00e8s caract\u00e9ristique.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Mars 2020, j&#8217;ai commenc\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie de peintures avec le titre provisoire Salon de Quoi Faire. Des int\u00e9rieurs dans lesquels il ne se passe apparemment rien. Dans ces premiers dessins et peintures, les gens\/les personnes sont les grands absents, tout comme dans mes peintures pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes. Des vies tranquilles.<br \/>\nEn suivant la musique de Tuur Florizoone, Night Shift, j&#8217;ai commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 faire des croquis et des dessins bas\u00e9s sur une nuit avec mon amoureux \u00e0 Li\u00e8ge. Quand les bars \u00e9taient encore ouverts et que le couvre-feu ne nous emp\u00eachait pas d&#8217;aller o\u00f9 on voulait. La danse nocturne et les promenades dans la ville, la chaleur et le confort du pub, &#8230; m&#8217;a rappel\u00e9 fortement l&#8217;atmosph\u00e8re et le rythme de la chanson de Galway.<br \/>\nLes gens peuplent les int\u00e9rieurs.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cam\u00e9ra et montage : Bart Zwysen<br \/>\nmusique : Galway &#8211; Tuur Florizoone &#8211; album : &#8216;Night Shift<\/p>\n<p><strong>EN<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Annelies Vanhaverbeke<\/strong> has always touched me as an artist and as a person. Meeting her and admiring her work is like a simple step to freedom, to dreamland that is so close and so quickly forgotten. She lives and works in Antwerp, Belgium.<br \/>\nIn 2003 she graduated as Master of Sculpture at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp (KASKA) and did a Post Graduate, Autonomous Visual Arts, at the Academy Post Sint Joost in Breda (Netherlands) in 2003-2004.<br \/>\nAlthough the practice of Annelies Vanhaverbeke is multidisciplinary, and holds the middle ground between painting, sculpture, drawing and the making of collages and assemblages, in recent years it is primarily the paintings that speak. Unburdened by a background in painting, she puts them on canvas in a very free manner. She lets go of perspective. She paints with brushes and tools such as slats, mixes paint on the canvas, repaints and works in a collage &#8211; and with strong references to sculpture &#8211; in a very characteristic style.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;March 2020 I started a series of paintings with the working title Salon de Quoi Faire. Interiors in which apparently nothing happens. In those first drawings and paintings, figures are the big absentees, just like in my previous paintings. Quiet lives.<br \/>\nFollowing the music of Tuur Florizoone, Night Shift, I started making sketches and drawings based on a night with my lover in Li\u00e8ge. When the pubs were still open and the curfew didn&#8217;t stop us from going wherever we wanted. Haar ontmoeten en haar werk bewonderen is als een eenvoudige stap naar de vrijheid, naar dromenland dat vlakbij is en zo snel vergeten wordt. Ze woont en werkt in Antwerpen, Belgi\u00eb.<br \/>\nIn 2003 is ze afgestudeerd als Meester in de Beeldhouwkunst aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten Antwerpen (KASKA) en deed in 2003-2004 een Post Graduaat, Autonome beeldende kunst, aan de Akademie Post Sint Joost in Breda (Nederland)<br \/>\nHoewel de praktijk van Annelies Vanhaverbeke multidisciplinair is, en het midden houdt tussen schilderen, beeldhouwen, tekenen en het maken van collages en assemblages, zijn het de laatste jaren in de eerste plaats de schilderijen die spreken. Niet belast door een schilderkunstige achtergrond zet ze die op een heel vrije manier op doek. Ze laat perspectief los. Schildert met borstels en hulpmiddelen zoals latten, mengt verf op het doek, herschildert en werkt collagegewijs \u2013 en met sterke referenties naar de beeldhouwkunst \u2013 in een zeer kenmerkende stijl.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Maart 2020 ben ik begonnen aan een reeks schilderijen met als werktitel Salon de Quoi Faire. Interieurs waarin schijnbaar niets gebeurt. Mensen\/fguren zijn in die eerste tekeningen en schilderijen de grote afwezigen, net zoals in mijn voorgaande schilderijen. Stille levens.<br \/>\nNaar aanleiding van de muziek van Tuur Florizoone , Night Shift, ben ik schetsen en tekeningen beginnen maken gebaseerd op een nacht met mijn lief in Luik. Toen de caf\u00e9&#8217;s nog open waren en de avondklok ons niet weerhield te gaan en staan waar we wilden. Het nachtelijk dansen en dwalen door de stad, de warmte en gezelligheid van het caf\u00e9, &#8230; deden mij sterk denken aan de sfeer en het ritme van het nummer Galway.<br \/>\nMensen bevolken de
